We know the healing that can come from education — specifically, education that is designed, developed, delivered and governed by Indigenous peoples.

That’s why NAIITS: An Indigenous Learning Community exists.

That’s why the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada has issued calls to fund education, improve education attainment levels and success rates and develop culturally appropriate curricula for Indigenous students.

And that’s why Indigenous Pathways is hosting our first-ever online auction to support Indigenous students studying with NAIITS.

Bidding opens at 12 p.m. ADT Monday, Sept. 22, and runs through Tuesday, Sept. 30.

The auction features a number of items handmade or donated by friends of Indigenous Pathways, the family of organizations that includes both NAIITS and iEmergence. You can bid on a custom feather box, a ribbon skirt, a cradleboard, a leather wallet, artwork, mugs, jewelry, greeting cards, a bath soak from Sweetgrass Soapery and more.

Bidding is in minimum $2 increments, and shipping details are in the notes on each item. We can ship all items internationally at the winner's expense, calculated when the auction closes.

All proceeds will benefit the Elijah Harper and Richard Twiss education funds supporting Indigenous students studying with NAIITS. The funds help students finance their graduate and post-graduate studies through scholarships awarded by a committee of NAIITS board members, faculty and graduates.

Make a difference for future generations by participating in Indigenous Pathways’ online auction or making a donation to NAIITS education funds today.
